A feeling of relief came over me as the train pulled away from the Chicago Union Station. We were on our way home.

We had left the house at 6:15 this morning. We rode the Metra in to Chicago, then walked the half hour to the Chinese embassy.

Only the fifth party in line, we had our visas turned in before the 11:00 am deadline. All of our paperwork was in order, so when we came back, a little before 2:00, we were able to pick up all five of our passports with visas affixed!

That was a relief, but we still wanted to make it back to catch the 2:30 train.

We rushed and even had time to grab a personal pan pizza for the train ride back to the house! It was a fun day and we have our paper work to enter China!
