Can I Hold Your Hand…

There are definitely things about living overseas that are inconvenient. However there are joys to living here too. “Daddy, can I hold your hand?” That was the first thing Ahava said this morning as we left our building on the way to drop the kids off at school.

It seems that there is a more intimate connection that comes with walking together than riding in a car. Holding hands was impossible, or at least inconvenient, in our good old Honda Odyssey on Our Commute to school before we left Minnesota. Now, however, it’s the norm. It’s a good norm.

If your children go to school, and if you get the chance to live close enough to walk them there, you will most likely find joy in those few slow paced minutes that you get with them each day. I know I do!
