Kanbula Part 1

Now that we had bus tickets, we had to figure out how to catch the bus. I wasn’t too worried about this, After studying for a semester I was fairly confident that I had enough language to ask around once we got there, but I still thought it would be a good idea to call an American friend and see how early we should get there and if she had any other advice. She said we should get there about half an hour early.

The next day, we left our house around 10:15. We were all excited. This was the closest thing to a road trip for us since January!

This is on the path that the kids take to school. Today, we are on our way to Kanbula!

Our bus left at 12:00. So we had plenty of time. However it took at least 15-20 minutes before the right city bus came to take us to the bus station.

Riding the city bus to the station where we will get on the long distance bus.

We were still at least half an hour early but were starting to feel the pressure to get on that bus, hence, no pictures of the bus station. Here’s one of the kids once we got on the bus though.

The kids got the very back row. Mom & Dad are in the row in front of them.
